  20. I just obtained ckermit 5A (190) from sunsite and am running it on
  21. linux 2.0.25.  I compiled with linuxtcp and used the LINUXFSSTND
  22. option to get the lock file in /var/locks.  Everything seems fine
  23. expect that sometimes kermit hangs when I try to set line.  I have
  24. checked the device file with fuser and nothing else is accessing it, I
  25. am running as root so permissions should be no big deal however I did
  26. try setting the ownership to both uucp:uucp and root:root.  I've seen
  27. this same behavior under hp-ux from time to time but again not
  28. consistently enough to track down a cause.  Can anyone offer a clue to
  29. the clueless one here?
